As our population ages the overall health and wellness policies need to be reflect the changing healthcare needs. We need to take care of those who are vulnerable in our communities. Accepting the Medicaid expansion is a fiscally sound decision. I understand how the fundamental differences in policy in the past stopped us from accepting this money. However, that argument no longer makes a fiscal sense if we want to take care of our people and lower health care costs. Accepting the Medicare expansion is the first step. That is $1.6 billion in the next two years. It is NOT free money, it is your money and Wisconsinites should have access to their money.

From multi-generational living to families who choose not to have children; we need to ensure people's choice is respected. Policies need to reflect the changing family dynamics in Assembly District 28.
